Q. Is there anything special I should do when using my candle for the first time?
Yes. Trim your wick to a ¼” before lighting. The initial burn should last as long as it takes for the wax to pool all the way to the side of the container. Doing this to will ensure that “tunneling” does not occur and you get the maximum burn time with your candle.
Q. What is “tunneling”?
Tunneling is when the wax simply burns down the center of the candle, leaving wax on the side of container.
Q. Will soy wax candles burn as long as paraffin-based candles?
Yes. Soy wax burns cleaner and lasts longer than traditional paraffin candles.
Q. Are all soy wax candles the same?
No. Many of the so-called "soy" candles on today's market are actually a blend containing both soy and paraffin wax. Elida Candle does not use paraffin wax in our candles.
Q. What are the white streaks and flecks that appear on my candle?
This is called frosting and occurs in all natural waxes. Different parts of the manufacturing process can contribute to frosting in addition to environmental factors, such as heat, cold, sun, or humidity. We strive for provide a consistent soy candle and to minimize frosting.
Q. Can I order my candles without color?
Yes, Just tell us in the instructions section when you checkout.

No, But all of our items are available for viewing on our Web site.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. At this time, we do not accept checks or money orders.
Q. How long will it take to get my order?
We ship regular orders within 1-2 business days. Shipping time can vary depending on your location.
Q. Do you ship outside of the U.S.?
At this time we only ship within the contiguous United States.
